Meet the Team
Robert Yencer
President
Mr. Yencer has more than 20 years of experience in the construction and meteorological services fields. Prior to Yencer Services, Mr. Yencer worked for Sunedison as the Global Fleet Manager responsible for its field service business. In January 2015, First Wind was acquired by Sunedison. At First Wind, Mr. Yencer was the Field Service Regional Manager. During his time at First Wind, he was also responsible for meteorological services to include Tilt Up Towers for development, permanent met tower maintenances, and overseeing the field services for operations and maintenance.
Prior to First Wind, Mr. Yencer was a successful business owner of Yencer Construction. At Yencer construction, he oversaw numerous projects including concrete work, new construction, and renovations. He grew Yencer Construction to take on bigger projects such as installations of met towers, and various other concrete and carpentry projects to meet his Client’s unique challenges.
Kevin Sampson
Vice President
Mr. Sampson has more than 20 years’ experience in power generation and field services.
Prior to Yencer Services, Mr. Sampson worked for Sunedison as QA and Solar Commissioning Manager – Field Services. Mr. Sampson was responsible for managing service projects related to construction, operations and maintenance of wind turbines, and solar site commissioning.
Prior to First Wind, Mr. Sampson had over 15 years in power generation with GE Aero Energy servicing GE LM gas turbine packages. He held position of Installation and Commissioning Regional manager, responsible for GE Aero Energy’s Service business on new unit installations.
Earlier he served GE Aero Energy as a control systems technician responsible for on-site OEM support of control system troubleshooting, installations and retrofits to include Turbine Controls, Auto Voltage Regulators, Excitation Systems, and Generator Breaker Controls.
Mr. Sampson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
